Community Affairs is one of the three functions in DePaul's Office of Community, Government, and International Affairs. Its primary purpose is to serve as a link between DePaul University and its neighbors - the residents, businesses, neighborhood, aldermen, civic and ethnic organizations of the City of Chicago. This office also facilitates communication and engagement with The City of Chicago and its Departments.

The vibrant City of Chicago is as much an integral part of the DePaul University experience as academics. The Lincoln Park campus, located in the heart of Chicago's historic Lincoln Park neighborhood, is the oldest, largest and most active of the university's campuses. Located within blocks of the Lincoln Park Zoo, The Chicago History Museum, many popular restaurants, and the scenic lakefront, the campus is home to the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, The Theatre School, the School of Music, the School of Education, and the extensive John T. Richardson Library. Community members who are looking to hire DePaul student musicians can contact 773/325-7260.

The Loop campus is in the heart of downtown Chicago, one of the nation's most vibrant business, entertainment, and cultural centers - steps away from art galleries, concert halls, museums, theaters and the famous Chicago skyline. The Colleges of Commerce, Law and Communications, the School for New Learning and the School of Computer Science, Telecommunications and Information Systems are based here, just steps from the stock exchanges, corporate headquarters and Chicago's business district.
